Preistoria di un miracolo romano: l’Auditorium al Parco della Musica

Abstract

All’inizio degli anni Ottanta, a partire da una prima selezione di aree adatte alla realizzazione dell’Auditorium, voluta dalla Regione Lazio, ebbe inizio la vicenda che porterà alla realizzazione del Parco della Musica. Lucio Barbera, consulente delle Regione negli anni Ottanta e Assessore alla Cultura e al Centro storico del Comune di Roma fra il 1992 e il 1993, ripercorre, attraverso la propria testimonianza, gli eventi che resero possibile, miracolosamente, lo svolgimento del concorso di progettazione per l’Auditorium.

In the early eighties, with a first selection of areas suitable for the construction of the New Auditorium, commissioned by the Lazio Region, the story that led to the creation of the Parco della Musica began. Lucio Barbera, consultant of the Region in the eighties and Councilor for Culture and the Historical Center of the Municipality of Rome between 1992 and 1993, retraces, through his own testimony, the events that made it possible, miraculously, to carry out the design competition for the Auditorium.
